Kahn. Exeter

The exhibition devoted to one Louis Kahn building was meant to introduce the Kahn research project to the university community and visitors.

Architect Anne Tyng has written: “The Exeter Library (1972) and the Hurvah Synagogue, in their great cubic masses with smaller spaces around a great central space, evoke the castle at Kahn’s birthplace on Saaremaa” (Louis Kahn to Anne Tyng. The Rome Letters 1953-1954, p 210).
